And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dougie Poynter!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski tries for a takedown but Poynter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Poynter avoids a kick to the body.
Arlovski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Poynter circles away.

Arlovski has closed the distance and engaged Poynter in a clinch.

Arlovski has picked Poynter up - he's going for a ride! Arlovski dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Arlovski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Arlovski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Arlovski seems to be working for a kimura but Poynter defends the submission attempt.
Poynter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Arlovski is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Arlovski is looking for a kimura but Poynter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Arlovski to get the leverage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Arlovski gets caught flat footed, as Poynter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Poynter wants to control from the top but Arlovski keeps moving.

Arlovski looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Poynter passes into side control.

Poynter has hold of Arlovski's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Arlovski seems comfortable defending it but Poynter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Arlovski is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Arlovski is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Poynter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
