Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leon DeLaurier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leon DeLaurier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xavier Worner!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeLaurier avoids a kick to the body.
Worner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Worner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Worner throws a sloppy head kick and DeLaurier moves out of range easily.

Worner gets caught flat footed, as DeLaurier shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
DeLaurier working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Worner's head.
DeLaurier wants to pass the guard but Worner is keeping the position.
DeLaurier slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeLaurier lands a couple of elbows.
DeLaurier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

DeLaurier is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Iron Palace that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
DeLaurier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DeLaurier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Worner's guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

DeLaurier is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
DeLaurier not landing any meaningful shots this time.
DeLaurier lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
DeLaurier is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
