Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Mastadon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Tilberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Tilberg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mastadon lands with a kick to the temple. Tilberg shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Tilberg scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tilberg working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Tilberg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Mastadon wants to get back to his feet.
Mastadon is not content to let Tilberg control the position.

Mastadon is looking to get back to his feet here but Tilberg is keeping cool and he's managed to take Mastadon's back.
Tilberg is trying to stick to Mastadon's back but Mastadon is turning into Tilberg. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Tilberg's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mastadon.

Mastadon tries to close the distance and clinch but Tilberg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

so Tilberg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mastadon wants to control but Tilberg passes easily into half guard.

Mastadon is trying to control but can't.
Mastadon wants to get back to his feet.

Mastadon is breathing heavily.
The referee warns Mastadon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mastadon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tilberg wriggles free and stands up.
Mastadon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mastadon wants to clinch up but Tilberg keeps it at a distance.

Tilberg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tilberg showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tilberg lands with a punch from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mastadon tries for a takedown but Tilberg circles away easily

and Tilberg counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tilberg wants to stand but Mastadon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tilberg stays in close to Mastadon's body and controls the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tilberg stands up over Mastadon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tilberg is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mastadon!

That's time! Mastadon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tilberg lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mastadon is looking to land body kicks.
Mastadon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tilberg. That one must have hurt.
Tilberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tilberg avoids a kick to the body.
Tilberg lands with a right that hurts Mastadon. Mastadon looks to clinch but Tilberg throws a short knee that drops Mastadon. This one is all over!
