Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carl Park!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hemingway scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Park is trying to get back to half guard.
Hemingway working away.
Hemingway really is a fat lump.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hemingway tries for a kimura but Park is defending well.
Hemingway working the body and head with strikes.


It looks like Carl Park has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hemingway tries to move into full mount but can't pass Park's legs.
Hemingway throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Hemingway goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Park has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hemingway but great work by Park.
Park trying to control the position but Hemingway is working away.

Park tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Park has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Park decides to stand back up. Park steps back and let's Hemingway get back to his feet.

Hemingway fails with a takedown attempt.
Park throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hemingway on the side of the head.
Hemingway looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Park tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Park avoids a kick to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hemingway.

As Hemingway backs off Park throws a huge counter combo but Hemingway manages to avoid it all.

Park displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hemingway.
Park shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hemingway but Hemingway pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Park shoots in looking for a takedown but Hemingway manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Park's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hemingway is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Park is just riding it out for now. Hemingway eventually gives up the hold.

Hemingway working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Park doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Park manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hemingway tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Park swivels and escapes.

Park fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hemingway avoids it really well and circles away.

Hemingway takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hemingway has his takedown stuffed

and Park counters by moving into the clinch.
Hemingway goes for a takedown attempt but Park pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Park will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Park drives through and clinches with Hemingway against the cage.
Hemingway is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Park to keep the fight standing.

Park seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Park is working for a kimura here but Hemingway manages to reverse the position and he's now in Park's guard.
Hemingway wants to get up but he can't break Park's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Park looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hemingway is one step ahead there.

Park is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hemingway is controlling him.
Hemingway throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Park works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nice takedown defense from Park. No joy for Hemingway on that attempt.
Park shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hemingway as he jumps to the side.
Hemingway shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Park pinned against the cage. Park gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Park lands a really nice looking cross but Hemingway seems unphased.
Charles Hemingway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Carl Park is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Park is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hemingway's half guard.

Well Park has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
