And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dang Sai!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sai rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alsop moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alsop throws a shot to the body.
Alsop throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sai.
Sai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Alsop manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Alsop uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sai.
Sai misses with a right hand
and Alsop cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sai has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Alsop connects with the punch.
A big left from Alsop misses.
Alsop swats away the attempt to clinch by Sai.
Alsop seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alsop. Sai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sai tries to close the distance and clinch but Alsop swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alsop looks to land a left hand but Sai moved out of range nicely.

Sai is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alsop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sai manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alsop is looking to land body kicks.
Sai is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Alsop stalks Sai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sai's face. Sai staggers backwards, shaken.
Alsop ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sai moves away.
Sai wants to counter with a clinch but Alsop pushes him away.
Alsop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sai takes a swing at Alsop's ribcage but misses.
Fred Alsop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alsop uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sai.
Alsop slips a jab and a cross from Sai.
Sai darts in trying to clinch
and Alsop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alsop pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Alsop's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sai connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alsop scrambles back to his feet.
Alsop misses with a body kick.
Sai throws out a loose jab but Alsop uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sai doesn't manage to clinch there - Alsop circles away.
Sai works Alsop's body with a nice hook.

Sai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Alsop sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sai has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alsop finds it's way round the side to connect with Sai's head.
Alsop scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Alsop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sai.
Alsop swings for the body but Sai moves out of range.

Sai is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alsop.
Alsop does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Alsop throws an overhand right that lands on Sai's shoulder, as Sai tries to avoid the shot.
Alsop misses with a straight left.
Sai checks a leg kick nicely.
Alsop takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sai throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alsop is looking to counter punch.
Alsop just misses with a punch to the body.
Sai tries to counter with a clinch but Alsop shakes him off and moves away.
Sai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alsop manages to avoid it.

Alsop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Alsop throws a combination. Sai tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


Sai is rocked!

Sai moves away from the strike by Alsop.
Alsop slips under a jab from Sai.
Sai misses with a left hand
and Alsop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alsop lands a nice shot that snaps Sai's head back.
Sai is still on wobbly legs! Can Alsop finish him?

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alsop lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sai can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Alsop and Sai drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Alsop.
