Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damon Macready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macready comes into the arena with Born to be Wild blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damon Macready!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Solomon Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Macready.
Macready scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Wayne shoots and misses
and Macready counters with a nice body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wayne.
Solomon Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Macready counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Damon Macready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Solomon Wayne.

and Macready counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Macready jabs Wayne right on the nose. Wayne blinks but takes it well.
An inside leg kick lands from Macready.

and Macready counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wayne thinking.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wayne on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wayne crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Macready - the referee stops the clock and Wayne gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Macready. Wayne manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Macready cracks Wayne with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Wayne looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Macready finish him?
Wayne is rocked!
Wayne on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Macready. Macready obviously looking to wear him down.
Wayne is still on wobbly legs! Can Macready finish him?
Look low, kick high! Macready uses the oldest trick in the book to send Wayne tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Macready is absolutely delighted - when Wayne wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Damon Macready!
Damon Macready decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
