The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Scalante has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Habana circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Scalante to the canvas! Scalante doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Habana keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

A very excited looking Bryan Habana rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Rocky Scalante was interviewed post fight and said '“What does it mean to be the best? It means you have to be better than the number two guy. But what gratification is there in that? He's a loser—that’s why he's number two.” '.
