Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pattrick Pain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclaren shoots in but no luck this time.
A swing and a miss from Pain.
Pain lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mclaren displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pain throws out the jab.
Mclaren tries to counter by closing the distance.
Pain connects with a body shot that sends Mclaren's belly button to the back.
Mclaren lands with a good body shot.
Pain throws the left hand but Mclaren avoids the punch easily.
Despite the aggression on Mclaren's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Mclaren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pain closes the distance and clinches.
Pain lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Pain gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

A body shot lands from Pain.
Pain is pressed up against the cage. Mclaren has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pain down to the mat. Pain avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pain lands a jab to the nose.
Pain bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mclaren lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pain leaves Mclaren with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pattrick Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rod Mclaren.
Pain closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pain seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mclaren looking for submissions off his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mclaren is pressing down on Pain's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mclaren wants to get back to his feet but Pain is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A lazy left from Pain finds it's target.
Pain misses with a two punch combination.
Mclaren goes for a double leg but Pain avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pain continues to drive forward.
Pain throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mclaren was covering up waiting for the punch and Pain finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pain is breathing heavily.
Mclaren is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Pain frees his head nicely. Oh but Mclaren has switched to an armbar! Pain is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
