Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gavin Garrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Georg Steffensen!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Garrison is predictable there
and Steffensen counters with a two punch combo.

Steffensen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Come on Garrison - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Steffensen is trying to drag Garrison to the mat but Garrison just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Steffensen.
Steffensen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Garrison is defending well.
Garrison really is a fat lump.
Garrison is looking to control Steffensen's arms but Steffensen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Garrison has his back to the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garrison throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Steffensen blocks it with crossed arms.
Garrison trying to stall but Steffensen improves his position.
Garrison jumps guard but Steffensen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Garrison gets control of Steffensen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Garrison will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Steffensen tries to stand but Garrison is controlling from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garrison not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Steffensen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Garrison doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Garrison escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steffensen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Steffensen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garrison is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Steffensen stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Garrison throws up his legs and catches Steffensen in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Steffensen tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Garrison! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Gavin Garrison!
