Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rex Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augusto Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robinson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Augusto Vargas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson tries to clinch up.
Vargas is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Vargas shoots in looking for a takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl out of it but Vargas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Robinson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rex Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Robinson.
Robinson tries to clinch but Vargas moves out of range.
Robinson rushes Vargas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Robinson tries to land a knee to the head but Vargas blocks with his arms.
Vargas tightens his grip and picks Robinson up, before dumping him to the ground. Robinson manages to land in guard.
Vargas passes into half guard.
Vargas is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
