Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gavin Garrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Douglas Harris!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Harris blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Garrison trying to control the position but instead, Harris has worked for underhooks and has pushed Garrison into the cage.

Garrison tries to stall but Harris uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Garrison could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Garrison misses with a punch to the body.
Garrison tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the cage.
Harris wants to take the fight to the mat but Garrison manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garrison is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Harris to keep the fight standing.

Harris trying to control but Garrison is working from the bottom.
Garrison trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Garrison looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harris is one step ahead there.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Garrison is trying to keep Harris in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Garrison stuffs the takedown.
Garrison is looking to counter with a body kick.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Garrison as he avoids it easily.
Garrison is looking to counter the offense by Harris and move into the clinch.
Gavin Garrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Harris.
Harris takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garrison defends well and Harris ends up having to push Garrison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Garrison went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Horrible takedown attempt by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Garrison, which made it look bad.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Harris.
Garrison looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Garrison pinned against the cage. Garrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Harris looks winded!
Harris fails with an attempt to clinch.

Garrison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Garrison looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Garrison is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Garrison.
Harris wants to control but Garrison is keeping busy.

Garrison is trying for a kimura here. Harris looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Garrison wins by kimura!
