Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Alsop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janus comes into the arena with Bodyjar - Not The Same blaring out of the sound system. Fred Alsop is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alsop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Janus shoots in and gets a takedown into Alsop's guard.

Janus drops back looking for a leg! Alsop is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alsop manages to kick Janus off! Janus jumps back into Alsop's guard.
Janus wants to control from the top but Alsop keeps moving.

Alsop looking for a guillotine here but Janus defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Janus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alsop is just riding it out for now. Janus eventually gives up the hold.

Alsop seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Janus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Hugh Janus will probably get the nod.

Janus has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Alsop celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
