Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Jones looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.

Carter has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Carter - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jones is looking to control Carter's arms but Carter gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jones has his back to the cage.

Carter is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Carter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jones throws a combination. Carter tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Carter moves out of range easily.
Carter takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carter was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Carter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.
Jones works over Carter's head and body with a nice combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones avoids the body shot from Carter.
Carter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jones tries to land a front kick but Carter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Carter tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones looks for the body kick but Carter saw that one coming.
Carter looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones tries to land a front kick but Carter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Carter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Nice shot lands for Carter.
Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jones throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease.

Carter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jones is able to avoid easily.

Carter throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.

Carter appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Carter walks into a jab.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carter to score with a decent uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A bone on bone clash there as Carter blocks the leg kick.
Carter takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Carter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Carter throws a body shot but no joy.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Carter avoids it.

Carter moves out of range of the strikes.
Carter punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
Carter connects with a body shot.
Carter throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Carter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carter looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Jones is rocked!
Jones looks up at the clock. Bad move! Carter lands a right hand from hell, dropping Jones. Carter pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Carter!
Our winner, James Carter, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
