The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Vina tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gordon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gordon throws a counter high kick but La Vina was just alert enough to avoid it.
La Vina keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
La Vina is looking to clinch.
Gordon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by La Vina.
Gordon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
La Vina avoids the head kick by Gordon.
Gordon avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
La Vina tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

La Vina really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gordon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
