Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Niko Franjik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Jeffreys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Niko Franjik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, TJ Jeffreys! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franjik misses with a takedown and Jeffreys counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jeffreys has hold of one of Franjik's legs. Franjik is fighting the takedown attempt but Jeffreys gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Franjik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jeffreys is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Franjik working a defensive guard but Jeffreys passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franjik pushes Jeffreys off looking to stand but Jeffreys dives back in and keeps control.

Franjik closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jeffreys circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Franjik looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Franjik shoots in but no luck this time. Franjik sets himself, and Jeffreys steps forward looking for the clinch! Franjik avoids it this time. Franjik shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Franjik gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jeffreys moves into the clinch. Jeffreys is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Franjik can't fight it off and eventually Jeffreys manages to take the fight to the floor. Franjik looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jeffreys is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jeffreys displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Franjik. Franjik has his takedown stuffed and Jeffreys counters by clinching up. Jeffreys turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jeffreys manages to end up in side control. Jeffreys is staying tight to Franjik's torso, preventing him from escaping. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franjik is trying to control Jeffreys's posture but Jeffreys avoids it. Franjik wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jeffreys has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Franjik is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jeffreys has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Jeffreys tries to avoid it but Franjik manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jeffreys to the ground. Jeffreys escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niko Franjik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Franjik throws a sloppy head kick and Jeffreys counters by clinching up. Franjik is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jeffreys is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Franjik to the mat. Franjik regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Franjik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jeffreys gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Franjik is trying to control the position but Jeffreys postures up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jeffreys blocks a head kick by Franjik.

Jeffreys has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Franjik clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jeffreys has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Franjik's body.

TJ Jeffreys showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Franjik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

TJ Jeffreys is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. TJ Jeffreys has got the better of the ground game so far. Franjik is looking to get to half guard. Jeffreys content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Franjik is in all sorts of trouble here.
Franjik tries to hold on but Jeffreys pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franjik tries to reverse the position but Jeffreys maintains control. Jeffreys controlling from the full mount. Niko Franjik has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Franjik throwing hammer fists to the chest of Jeffreys. What's that going to do exactly?
And that's the end of the fight! TJ Jeffreys comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jeffreys has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
