Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manfred Honeypott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Hole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hole has chosen Louie Louie/ Motorhead as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manfred Honeypott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lou Hole!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hole misses the shot to the body.
Honeypott connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hole. Hole circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Honeypott gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hole.
Hole tests Honeypott's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A swing and a miss from Hole.
Honeypott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hole fails with the takedown.
As Hole tries to get set, Honeypott tries to push him back and clinch up but Hole manages to avoid the attempt.
Hole's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hole's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hole. Honeypott does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Honeypott misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Honeypott as he avoids it easily.
Honeypott was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Hole is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Honeypott's half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hole wants to pass to mount but Honeypott is defending the position.

Hole is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Honeypott is just riding it out for now. Hole eventually gives up the hold.
Hole is looking to take a break and control but Honeypott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hole is keen to just control but Honeypott is a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Honeypott is trying to maintain the position but Hole is very close to passing his half guard.

Hole thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Honeypott's head.
Honeypott definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hole is looking for a kimura here.

Hole lands a big shot there that rocks Honeypott but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Hole putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Honeypott is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hole lands a couple of good shots and Honeypott has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Honeypott grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Hole looking for the choke but no joy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hole lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hole.
Hole connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Honeypott to escape the position.
Hole lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hole gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.


It looks like Manfred Honeypott has been cut.
Honeypott tries to escape but Hole has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Honeypott is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hole gets his way!
Hole is landing with strikes. Honeypott can't take much more of this.
Hole scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Honeypott is looking for a way out.
Honeypott trying to control the hands but Hole won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Hole dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Manfred Honeypott's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hole takes a swing at Honeypott's ribcage but misses.
Hole has a takedown stuffed.
Lou Hole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honeypott connects with a jab.
Hole doesn't manage to clinch there - Honeypott circles away.
Honeypott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hole looks to land a right hand but Honeypott moved out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Honeypott staying out of range there.
Honeypott swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Honeypott misses with a two punch combination.
Honeypott misses with an uppercut. Hole saw that one coming.
Honeypott takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Honeypott moves away from the strike by Hole.
Honeypott throws out a loose jab but Hole uses good head movement to avoid it.
Honeypott misses with a wild body shot.
Hole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Honeypott misses the target.
Honeypott closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
No joy there for Hole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Honeypott stuns Hole with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hole tries to close the distance and clinch but Honeypott swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hole has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nice body punch from Hole.
Hole will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Manfred Honeypott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lou Hole.

Hole closes the distance and pushes Honeypott back into the cage.

Hole scores with a shot to the side of Honeypott's head.
Hole goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hole looking to stall.
Hole tries for a takedown. No joy.

Hole pulls guard effortlessly.

Hole wants to sweep but no luck.

Hole has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hole is looking for a triangle but Honeypott pushes his legs off easily.

Hole not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hole keeping full guard, as Honeypott tries to pass.
Honeypott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hole on the ground.

Honeypott has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hole to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Honeypott is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hole pulls down on the head and he's put Honeypott to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lou Hole!
Lou Hole got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
