Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Selem as he avoids it easily.
Araujo moves out of range of the body kick from Selem.
Selem throws a right and a left that both miss.
Araujo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Selem doesn't seem bothered though.
Araujo motions for Selem to come forward. Araujo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Nice takedown defense from Araujo. No joy for Selem on that attempt.
Araujo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round but I would say that lucas Araujo will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Selem closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Araujo thows a body shot but no joy.
Araujo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Selem!
Araujo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Selem is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Araujo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

A close second round but Thiago Selem will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Selem tries to close the distance and clinch but Araujo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Selem avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Araujo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Araujo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Selem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Selem stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Araujo.
Araujo throws a sloppy head kick and Selem moves out of range easily.
Araujo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Araujo, right into the meat.

Araujo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Selem is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Araujo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Selem will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Araujo decides to stand back up. Araujo steps back and let's Selem get back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Araujo.
Araujo pushes Selem up against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Araujo manages to break the clinch.
Araujo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Araujo misses with a body shot.
Good leg kick by Araujo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Selem gets caught flat footed, as Araujo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Araujo wants to stand but Selem is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that's the end of the fight!

Well Araujo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
