Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josh Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Argavani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gil Argavani!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir looks to land a body kick but Argavani moved away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Argavani! But no joy.
Mir looks for the body kick but Argavani saw that one coming.
Mir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Argavani manages to avoid it.
Mir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It seemed like Argavani was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Argavani controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Mir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Argavani is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mir is trying to maintain the position but Argavani is very close to passing his half guard.
Mir is looking for a sweep. Argavani is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
