The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wendell keeps the fight on the outside.
Wendell swats away the attempt to clinch by Goodridge.
Goodridge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Goodridge darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Goodridge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wendell keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wendell is defending against the submission attempts here by Goodridge.
