PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kristina Harebell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Gunner told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunner has closed the distance and engaged Harebell in a clinch.
Gunner gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Harebell.

Gunner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Harebell gets tackled into the cage by Gunner. Gunner maintains the clinch.

Gunner tightens his grip and picks Harebell up, before dumping him to the ground. Harebell manages to land in guard.

Harebell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gunner content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gunner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gunner drops back looking for a leg! Harebell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harebell manages to kick Gunner off! Gunner jumps back into Harebell's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gunner is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Harebell has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Gunner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harebell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
