Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sokratis Gekas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guillermo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gekas is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Sokratis Gekas looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Diaz lands a few punches from side control.
Diaz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Diaz grinds an elbow into Gekas's temple.
Diaz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
