Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Test AA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Test AA!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Boyka!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
AA throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Boyka takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
AA looks to throw the jab but Boyka is out of range.

Boyka darts in and clinches AA up against the cage.
Boyka throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but AA blocks it with crossed arms.
Boyka throws an elbow but it's blocked.
AA is leaning against Boyka and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Boyka lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Test AA has been cut.
AA tries to pull guard but Boyka holds him up against the cage and eventually AA drops back down to his feet.

Boyka manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
AA throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
AA shoots in looking for a takedown. Boyka tries to sprawl out of it but AA keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boyka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Boyka was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Boyka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
AA swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
AA throws a low kick, looking for Boyka's leg but Boyka calmly moves out of range.

Boyka throws a nice looking combination but AA bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
AA drops down looking for a counter takedown but Boyka sprawls and moves away.
AA throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
AA shoots in but Boyka avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Test AA. That's going to take a lot out of him.
AA goes for a double leg but Boyka avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boyka continues to drive forward.

Boyka closes the distance and clinches.
Boyka throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

AA goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Boyka told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

AA will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Boyka up against the cage.

AA swings wildly with an uppercut but Boyka uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boyka throws an elbow that misses.
A body shot lands from AA.
AA tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

AA avoids the elbow strike from Boyka, against the cage.
Boyka pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Boyka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boyka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from AA.

AA changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boyka tries to avoid it but AA manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boyka to the ground. Boyka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boyka doesn't manage to clinch there - AA circles away.

AA looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boyka is fending him off so far but AA persists. Nope, Boyka circles away and we're back to standing.
AA shoots for a double leg takedown but Boyka sprawls well. He's pushed AA's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
No luck for AA with that takedown attempt.
Boyka is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

As AA backs off Boyka throws a huge counter combo but AA manages to avoid it all.
AA throws a hook but Boyka blocks it.
Boyka fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Boyka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boyka can do anything to dispel that myth.
AA is standing up over Boyka. Boyka looks to escape but AA dives into side control.

Boyka is wriggling around trying to escape but AA has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Boyka taps out and AA picks up the big win! Great work there by AA!
