The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Černư falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kalashnikov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Černư shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalashnikov pinned against the cage. Kalashnikov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Černư checks a leg kick.
Černư changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Kalashnikov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Černư lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Černư misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kalashnikov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Černư connects with a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Černư takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Černư bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Černư is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Černư will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kalashnikov throws out a leg kick but Černư moves out of range and Kalashnikov only half commits.

and Kalashnikov counters with a three punch combo that has Černư backing up. Černư nods at Kalashnikov to acknowledge the strikes.
Černư pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kalashnikov back to the cage. Černư follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Kalashnikov connects with a looping right hand.
Černư bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Černư works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Vadim Kalashnikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Černư looks to land a combination but Kalashnikov avoids it well.

Kalashnikov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Černư looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kalashnikov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Černư puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kalashnikov is staying active underneath Černư, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Černư is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Kalashnikov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Černư fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Kalashnikov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Černư! Great finish!
