The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Aguirre.
Aguirre changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Aguirre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gamrot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aguirre quickly recovers to half guard.
Aguirre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gamrot wants to pass the guard but Aguirre is keeping the position.

Gamrot drops back looking for a leg! Aguirre is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aguirre manages to kick Gamrot off! Gamrot jumps back into Aguirre's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gamrot drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aguirre manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gamrot has Aguirre in his guard.

Gamrot throws his legs up looking for a submission but Aguirre uses it to pass to side control.
Gamrot wants to get back to his feet but Aguirre drags him back down.

Gamrot is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Aguirre's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gamrot tries to get to full guard but Aguirre has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gamrot shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aguirre's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gamrot lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Aguirre quite badly. Aguirre pulls Gamrot in close trying to recover. Gamrot postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Aguirre on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Aguirre doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
