Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riley Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasarus Penchant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nasarus Penchant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Riley Carroll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nasarus Penchant!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carroll shoots in looking for a takedown but Penchant manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carroll's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Penchant gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Penchant has clasped his hands together around Carroll's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Carroll is trying to buck Penchant off.
Penchant controlling the position from side mount.

Penchant is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carroll is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carroll tries to buck Penchant off but Penchant is having none of it.
Carroll could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carroll is not content to let Penchant control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Penchant has control of Carroll's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carroll regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Penchant takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Carroll wants to stand up but Penchant is controlling him.

Carroll postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Penchant wants to sweep but no luck.

Carroll gets to his feet - Penchant follows without any prompting.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Penchant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nasarus Penchant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Penchant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
