The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dront throws a right hand that Pearson ducks under and follows up with a left that Pearson also avoids with ease.

Pearson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pearson thows a huge punch but Dront dodges it nicely.
Dront wants to control but Pearson is keeping busy.
Pearson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pearson passes to side control.
Dront gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The referee warns Dront that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pearson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dront is now in Pearson's guard. A big mistake from Pearson there, giving up the dominant position!

Dront is posturing up here but Pearson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dront tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dront has to tap! Slick submission there by Pearson!
