Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benny Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bishop's entrance music is Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk Dubstep Remix. A fine choice. Ellis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 6 Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benny Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ellis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bishop throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bishop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ellis's guard.
Bishop controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bishop drops back looking for a leg! Ellis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ellis manages to kick Bishop off! Bishop jumps back into Ellis's guard.
Bishop seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ellis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bishop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bishop loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've been hearing that Bishop has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Bishop is looking to work some ground and pound but Ellis has wrist control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ellis can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bishop has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bishop has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ellis defend it? Bishop steps over the head and cranks it - Ellis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bishop!

In his post fight interview, Benny Bishop started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
