Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gratien Coquerelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar Quinta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gratien Coquerelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cesar Quinta!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coquerelle tries to clinch but Quinta moves out of range.
Quinta lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Coquerelle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quinta paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Coquerelle is defended easily by Quinta.

Quinta manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coquerelle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Quinta.

and Quinta counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Coquerelle!
Quinta wants to control but Coquerelle is keeping him busy.

Quinta is working for a guillotine from mount but Coquerelle frees his head quite easily.
Quinta can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Coquerelle is looking to escape.

Quinta thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Quinta has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coquerelle's face.
Coquerelle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Quinta manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Coquerelle shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Quinta defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Coquerelle or perhaps it was just good defense by Quinta, which made it look bad.

Coquerelle tries for a takedown but Quinta manages to get underhooks.

Quinta has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Coquerelle uses from the top position.

Quinta has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Madz **21 Elite coaches**. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Quinta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quinta lands a big elbow.
Quinta takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Quinta is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Coquerelle is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
