Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Kehoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kehoe has chosen Angel Of Death as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Calvin Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Kehoe!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kehoe is looking to land body kicks.
Tate changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kehoe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kehoe lands a really nice looking cross but Tate seems unphased.
Kehoe looks to throw the jab but Tate is out of range.
No luck for Tate with that takedown attempt.
Kehoe misses the shot to the body.
Kehoe throws a hook but Tate blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kehoe keeps Tate at a distance using the push kick.

Tate decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kehoe tries to roll over but Tate keeps him under control.

Tate stands up over Kehoe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kehoe pulls Tate in close to his closed guard and prevents Tate from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kehoe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tate changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Kehoe throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Tate takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kehoe enables Tate to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kehoe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tate accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kehoe is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Tate postures up and lands a big shot to Kehoe's brow.

Kehoe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that Calvin Tate will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kehoe lands a really nice looking cross but Tate seems unphased.

Tate shoots in and bounces Kehoe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Let's hope that Kehoe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kehoe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tate's guard.

Tate is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kehoe defends well.

Tate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kehoe is looking to regain half guard here but Tate keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Kehoe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kehoe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kehoe throws a body punch but Tate moves out of range.

Tate shoots in looking for a takedown but Kehoe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tate's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
