Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pepe Silvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez has chosen Down with Shane as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez tries to clinch up but Silvia circles away and keeps his distance.
Velasquez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Silvia throws a series of punches but Velasquez avoids them all with ease.
Velasquez fails to land the takedown.
Velasquez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silvia is fending him off so far but Velasquez persists. Nope, Silvia circles away and we're back to standing.
Pepe Silvia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Velasquez.
Velasquez dodges the punch combination from Silvia.
Velasquez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Velasquez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silvia circles away.
Velasquez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Silvia both land. Nice combination.

Velasquez shoots for a takedown but Silvia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silvia doesn't manage to clinch there - Velasquez circles away.
Velasquez shoots in looking for a takedown. Silvia tries to sprawl out of it but Velasquez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silvia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silvia misses with a two punch combination.
Shane Velasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velasquez takes a kick to the side of the head.
Velasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Silvia finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silvia steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Velasquez is out on his feet! Silvia sets himself and nearly takes Velasquez's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
