Horrible takedown attempt by Mayes or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenkins, which made it look bad.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mayes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Mayes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Jenkins lands a big right hand that sends Mayes crashing to the mat! Jenkins stays standing though and waves Mayes back to his feet!
Mayes walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Jenkins! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
