The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madison keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cruz walks into a straight right hand from Madison.
Cruz looks to land a left hand but Madison moved out of range nicely.
Cruz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Madison connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fighters circling - Madison throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cruz throws a body punch but Madison moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Aidan Madison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wanderlei Cruz.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Madison enables Cruz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Madison manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Cruz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Madison's guard.
