The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turk moves out of range of the body kick from Fredrikson.
Fredrikson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turk paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Turk attempts a counter takedown but Fredrikson avoids it well and moves away.
Fredrikson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Turk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Turk changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fredrikson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fredrikson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fredrikson throws a head kick that misses.
Turk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fredrikson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Teijo Fredrikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
