Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs fails in his attempt to clinch.
A head kick by Gukt misses
and Riggs counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gukt is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Riggs darts in and clinches Gukt up against the cage.

Gukt pulls guard effortlessly.

Gukt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Riggs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gukt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Riggs off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Riggs tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Gukt counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Riggs!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes there by Gukt.

Gukt tries for a kimura but Riggs is defending well.
Riggs dodges the ground and pound from Gukt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Riggs struggling a bit here.
Gukt grinds an elbow into Riggs's temple.

Riggs is rocked!
Gukt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gukt has hold of Riggs's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Riggs tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gukt cranks the arm and Riggs screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Riggs, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
