Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mr Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rufus Soderberg!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soderberg wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Anderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson misses with a low kick as Soderberg jumps back.
Anderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

and Soderberg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson's guard.
Soderberg won't allow Anderson to sweep him here.

Soderberg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson is looking for a sweep.

Soderberg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Anderson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Soderberg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Soderberg has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anderson is squirming around, avoiding Soderberg's attempts to control the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Soderberg goes for an armbar but Anderson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Anderson.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Anderson is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Soderberg is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, if Anderson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.

Soderberg looking for submissions off his back.
Anderson wants to control but Soderberg is keeping him busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Soderberg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Anderson pulls his head out easily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Anderson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Anderson throws a leg kick which misses Soderberg's front leg but catches the back leg as Soderberg tries to avoid it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Anderson, right into the meat.

Anderson swings for the body but Soderberg moves out of range.
Soderberg drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Anderson defends it well.
Soderberg shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense.
Soderberg closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Soderberg pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Soderberg does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Mr Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That kick from Anderson tenderised Soderberg's leg. Soderberg is trying to keep his angry face on.
Anderson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soderberg goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Anderson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Soderberg but great work by Anderson.

Soderberg checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Soderberg takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Soderberg closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Soderberg fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away.
Anderson tries to land a front kick but Soderberg steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Soderberg's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Both fighters circling a little - Anderson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Anderson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Soderberg can do to turn this around?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mr Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Soderberg takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Soderberg takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Soderberg counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Soderberg gets back to full guard.

Soderberg has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Soderberg.

What can Soderberg do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Anderson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Soderberg's body.
You can see the frustration on Soderberg's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
What can Soderberg do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

And that's the end of the fight!
Mr Anderson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
