Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jean Lovett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Duffy!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Duffy misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lovett is trying to pull guard but Duffy has him pressed against the cage.

Lovett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lovett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Duffy is fending him off so far but Lovett persists. Nope, Duffy circles away and we're back to standing.
Lovett uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Duffy.
Duffy misses with a looping left.
Duffy lands a nice looking body shot.
Lovett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duffy works over Lovett's head and body with a nice combination.
Lovett avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lovett ducks under a wild hook from Duffy.
Duffy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Duffy throws a jab but it's blocked by Lovett.
Duffy throws a hook to the side of Lovett's head but Lovett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duffy lands a nice shot to the body.
Lovett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lovett slips under a jab from Duffy.
Duffy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lovett sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jimmy Duffy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lovett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Duffy.
Lovett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duffy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lovett somewhat.
Duffy feints the counter takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Lovett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Duffy lands with a nice body punch.
Lovett moves away from the strike by Duffy.
Lovett tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Duffy manages to circle out of the way.
Lovett defending well as Duffy loads up on a big left hand.
Lovett scores with a head kick. Duffy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Lovett tries to close the distance and clinch but Duffy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duffy is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Lovett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Duffy throws out the jab.
Lovett tries for a takedown but Duffy circles away easily
and Duffy counters with a nice uppercut.
Lovett is breathing heavily.
Lovett checks a leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duffy scores with a jab.
Duffy connects with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duffy scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Duffy connects with a looping right hand.
Duffy connects with a body shot that sends Lovett's belly button to the back.
Duffy jabs Lovett to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Decent striking displayed by Duffy there.
Lovett walks straight into a right hand from Duffy - that's dropped him! Duffy jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lovett from any more punishment! Lovett complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jimmy Duffy!
Jimmy Duffy tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
