Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Poldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onanias Runkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Runkman has chosen Anderson Silva DANCING Justin Bieber SONG as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Poldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Onanias Runkman!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runkman jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Poldi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Runkman, pushing him back against the cage.
Poldi can't find room to land a body shot as Runkman controls the action.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Runkman tries to pull guard but Poldi won't allow it.
Poldi is looking to control Runkman's arms but Runkman gets an underhook and turns him. Now Poldi has his back to the cage.

Runkman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Runkman manages to end up in side control.
Runkman tries to move to full mount but Poldi actually manages to regain half guard.
Poldi keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Runkman is trying to work for a kimura but Poldi is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Poldi is staying active underneath Runkman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Runkman is looking to stall here but Poldi recovers full guard.
Runkman trying to control the position from guard on top but Poldi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Poldi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Poldi trying to keep a closed guard but Runkman is proving a slippery customer.
Runkman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Poldi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Runkman's guard.

Runkman tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Poldi lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Poldi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Runkman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Poldi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Poldi wanted to stand there but Runkman had control of the position.

Poldi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Runkman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Poldi has managed to get both his arms back between Runkman's legs - danger averted.

Runkman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poldi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Poldi with a nice head shot there.
Runkman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Runkman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Poldi is one step ahead there.

Runkman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poldi defends well.
Poldi is stalling in the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Runkman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poldi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Runkman is tightening it up a little... Poldi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Poldi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Poldi taps out! Nice BJJ there by Runkman!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Onanias Runkman!
During a confident post fight interview, Onanias Runkman thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
