PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Gore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Gallman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gallman's choice of entrance music: let it rock . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gore darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gallman keeping control of the position.
Gallman tries to roll over but Gore keeps him under control.
Gallman trying to control from the bottom.
Gore seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gore could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gore is looking for a kimura but Gallman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gore to get the leverage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gallman is trying to stand up here but Gore is controlling him well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Gallman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gore looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gore is trying to buck Gallman off.
Gore gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gallman wants to pass the guard but Gore is defending well.

Gore is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gallman throws the kick towards the body but Gore avoids it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Cameron Gallman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gore swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gallman is now in Gore's guard. A big mistake from Gore there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gallman passes Gore's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gallman tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Gallman is working for an americana but Gore has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Gallman was thinking about the submission.
Gore is trying to control the position but Gallman postures up.
Gore has momentary wrist control but Gallman slips an elbow through the middle.
Cameron Gallman has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gore controls Gallman momentarily but Gallman frees himself.
Gallman wants to pass the guard but Gore is keeping the position.

Gallman stands up and waves to Gore to follow him.
Gallman tries to clinch up but Gore circles away and keeps his distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gallman.

Gallman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gallman advances to mount.
Gore regains half guard.
Gore has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gallman is working away from the top position though.

Gallman is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gore defends it well.
Gore works his way to full guard. Good work.
Gore seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ray Gore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gallman stands up out of Gore's guard for a moment - Gore manages to land a nice upkick.

Cameron Gallman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gallman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
