Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Otha Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denny Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Otha Carson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denny Brown!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carson tries to keep at a distance but Brown has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brown breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brown bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Carson blocks a head kick by Brown.
Carson tries to clinch there but Brown circles away.
Carson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Carson has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown wants to stand and escape but instead Carson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Brown is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carson defends well.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Carson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head.
Carson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Carson throws a big elbow that misses.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Brown tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carson defends it nicely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Carson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Brown drags the fight down to the ground.
Brown has a closed guard, preventing Carson from standing up.

Carson stands up over Brown, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brown manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Brown closes the distance and clinches.
Carson stops a takedown attempt from Brown.
Otha Carson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denny Brown.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carson dives in for a single leg takedown but Brown sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carson's waist but Carson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side.
Brown throws a half hearted mid kick.
As Brown tries to get set, Carson tries to push him back and clinch up but Brown manages to avoid the attempt.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Carson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Carson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Otha Carson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Denny Brown.

Brown moves into range and clinches up with Carson.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Otha Carson.
Brown clobbers Carson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Brown closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carson did well to prevent Brown getting side control.

Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.
Brown seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A nice elbow there by Brown.
Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Carson is rocked!
Brown connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Oh Carson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Brown wants to finish this one by submission but Carson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Brown.
Brown lands a big shot to the head and Carson winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
