Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Rack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley Wise has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stanley Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keith Rack!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Wise.

Rack looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Rack not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rack's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Wise thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rack is looking to work some ground and pound but Wise has wrist control.
Rack controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rack should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Wise is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rack defends well.
Rack postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Wise shoots for a takedown but Rack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rack thinks about the counter body kick.

Rack shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rack trying to control the pace.

Rack wants to take a breather but Wise is having none of it.
Rack seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rack working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Wise's thigh. Wise counters though and makes it back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rack got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wise has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rack has managed to get both his arms back between Wise's legs - danger averted.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rack controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rack shoots in and gets a takedown into Wise's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rack slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wise takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Wise is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rack is looking to take a break and control but Wise is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rack misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Rack dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wise shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rack as he jumps to the side.
Stanley Wise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rack closes the distance and clinches.

Rack has clasped his hands together around Wise's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Rack is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wise is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rack would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Wise closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rack did well to prevent Wise getting side control.

Wise is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rack flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Wise wants to work for an arm triangle but Rack is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Rack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wise haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wise looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Wise shoots in for a takedown but Rack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rack throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rack takes the fight into the clinch.
Wise has Rack pressed against the cage, preventing Rack from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Rack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wise closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rack circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanley Wise. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wise's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rack controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wise has momentary wrist control but Rack slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keith Rack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Rack utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rack not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wise makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wise wants to get up but he can't break Rack's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rack can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wise is aware though and is defending well.

Wise is looking to work some ground and pound but Rack has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rack throws a sloppy head kick and Wise moves out of range easily.
Rack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rack has closed the distance and engaged Wise in a clinch.
Wise tries for a takedown but Rack manages to get underhooks.
Wise tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rack smiles and moves away.

Rack shoots in and bounces Wise off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wise looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wise accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wise goes for a double leg but Rack avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rack continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanley Wise. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rack misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rack closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rack with the ground and pound but Wise regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Rack is trying to control the action in half guard but Wise is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rack throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Wise to regain full guard.

Stanley Wise has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Keith Rack is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Wise with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Keith Rack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
