Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Wallhead!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallhead fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wallhead throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lesnar tries to clinch but Wallhead moves out of range.

Lesnar shoots in and bounces Wallhead off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lesnar in particular looking to stall.

Wallhead pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.

Wallhead throws out a leg kick but Lesnar moves out of range and Wallhead only half commits.
Lesnar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wallhead's head backwards.
Wallhead tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lesnar swivels and escapes.

Wallhead jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wallhead fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Wallhead fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fedor Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Wallhead.
Lesnar tries to clinch up but Wallhead circles away and keeps his distance.
Lesnar throws out a powerful jab.

Lesnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wallhead to the mat! Wallhead manages to get full guard.
Lesnar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wallhead's guard.

Lesnar is trying to work for a kimura but Wallhead is defending well.
Wallhead pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.
Wallhead is not content to let Lesnar control the position.

Lesnar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wallhead to stand up.

Wallhead lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Lesnar moves into the clinch.
Wallhead is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lesnar keeps control of Wallhead as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Wallhead wants to control but Lesnar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Well, if Lesnar is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Wallhead is trying to stand up here but Lesnar is controlling him well.
Lesnar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and Wallhead decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lesnar's guard.
Wallhead has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lesnar is proving hard to escape from.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wallhead.

Wallhead successfully pulls guard.
Wallhead wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lesnar is now in half guard.
Wallhead is trying to stand back up but Lesnar is controlling him
Wallhead is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Fedor Lesnar showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lesnar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
