PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valentine Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yo Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bo misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Xavier.
Xavier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bo is pressed up against the cage. Xavier has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bo down to the mat. Bo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valentine Xavier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Xavier avoids it really well and circles away.

Xavier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bo to the ground. Xavier is now in Bo's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bo has his hands on Xavier's head, controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Xavier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bo pulls his head out easily.

Xavier has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Bo. Oh but Xavier has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Bo goes limp - he's gone! Xavier jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
