Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Haigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, colin daglish!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haigh misses with a wild combination.
daglish swats away the attempt to clinch by Haigh.
Haigh shoots in and drives through. daglish sprawls well.
Haigh looks to land a combination but daglish avoids it well.

Haigh pushes daglish up against the cage in a clinch.
Haigh trying to land knees to the body.
daglish wants to break free but Haigh has control.
daglish drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
daglish works on Haigh's body with a couple of short punches.
daglish tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from daglish.

daglish tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Haigh tries to close the distance and clinch up but daglish swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Haigh throws a series of strikes that have daglish backpedaling.


It looks like colin daglish has been cut.
Haigh shoots in for a double leg but daglish sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Haigh has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of daglish is proving hard to escape from.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Haigh postures up in daglish's guard and throws a big left but daglish blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Haigh counters by clinching up.
Haigh avoids the elbow strike from daglish, against the cage.
daglish should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Haigh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but daglish gets the underhooks and prevents it.
daglish looking to throw knees to the head but Haigh is blocking nicely.

Haigh decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Haigh is taking a breather. daglish says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Haigh thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing daglish to regain full guard.
Haigh prevents daglish from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Haigh postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! daglish is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Haigh, into his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Haigh is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Haigh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Haigh tries to get out of the position.

Haigh scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Haigh shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in daglish's guard.
Haigh wants to control from the top but daglish keeps moving.
Haigh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Haigh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Haigh decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on daglish, up you get!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Donk. Haigh catches daglish right on the button with a cross.
Haigh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
daglish looks for a takedown but Haigh sprawls well.

Haigh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

daglish is working for takedown but Haigh is calmly controlling the position for now.

Nice takedown defense from daglish. No joy for Haigh on that attempt.
Haigh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Haigh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. daglish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. daglish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dan Haigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
daglish misses with a body punch
and Haigh counters with a head kick. That will keep daglish thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
daglish throws a right hand that Haigh ducks under and follows up with a left that Haigh also avoids with ease.

daglish wants to get back to his feet but Haigh passes into half guard.

Haigh postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for daglish to stand up.

daglish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Haigh but Haigh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
