Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makena looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Makena trying to control the position from guard on top but Sabian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sabian wants to get back to his feet but Makena is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Makena passes Sabian's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Sabian wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Makena connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sabian some visible discomfort.

Sabian works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Makena throws a sloppy head kick and Sabian moves out of range easily.

Makena tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Makena misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Roni Sabian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dubaku Makena.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Makena - that will leave a mark!

Sabian looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Makena is still on wobbly legs! Can Sabian finish him?
Sabian cracks Makena with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Makena tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sabian pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Makena is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roni Sabian!
