The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henan misses with a wild combination.
Sakuma fails with a takedown attempt.
Henan misses with the combination.
Sakuma dives in and grabs Henan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Henan pushes down on Sakuma's head and hops out.
Henan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Henan lands a lovely overhand right.

Henan gets caught flat footed, as Sakuma shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Henan is looking to stand up but Sakuma isn't so interested in that idea.
Sakuma slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Henan wants to get back to his feet but Sakuma is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sakuma seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Henan wants to stand up but Sakuma is controlling him.
Sakuma passes Henan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sakuma has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Sakuma quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Sakuma but it's paid off an Henan is forced to tap! Nice work by Sakuma.
