The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaBeouf on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Gerrard lands a nice hook to LaBeouf's body. LaBeouf takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Gerrard has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. LaBeouf is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gerrard.

LaBeouf turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and LaBeouf manages to end up in side control.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw LaBeouf working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Gerrard tries to improve position but can't.
LaBeouf prevents Gerrard from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Gerrard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
