Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Danko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Dmx Intro. Jack Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Jones!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stan Danko!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danko throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Danko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Danko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Stan Danko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Danko misses with a wild combination.
As Danko tries to get set, Jones tries to push him back and clinch up but Danko manages to avoid the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones fails to land the takedown.

Danko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Danko defends it nicely.

Danko lands with a good body shot.

Jones gets a double leg takedown into Danko's guard.
Danko is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Danko wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Danko strikes from the bottom but Jones passes into mount!

Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Danko manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stan Danko dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Danko stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Danko was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Danko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Danko throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones appears to be looking for a big counter.
Danko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Danko punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
Danko jabs at Jones's body.

Jack Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Danko jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Danko digs a good hook to Jones's body.
Danko fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Jones is out of range.
Jones appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Danko moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Danko scores with a hook.
Danko scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


Jones is rocked!
Danko lands with a nice body punch.
A lazy left from Danko finds it's target.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Danko tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Danko to the ground. Danko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Danko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Danko throws a low kick, looking for Jones's leg but Jones calmly moves out of range.

Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Danko sprawls and moves away.

Danko takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Danko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Danko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Danko misses with a wild combination.
Danko lands a lovely overhand right.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Danko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jones checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Danko's waist but Danko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
Danko throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily.
Danko moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Danko is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Danko circles away and we're back to standing.
A bone on bone clash there as Jones blocks the leg kick.
Danko avoids the head kick by Jones.
Danko has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Danko throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Jones half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stan Danko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Danko gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.
As Jones backs off Danko throws a huge counter combo but Jones manages to avoid it all.
Danko cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs.
Danko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Danko throws a leg kick

and Jones counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Danko!
Danko wants to control but Jones postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Danko tries to control but Jones manages to take his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Danko is holding on to Jones 's glove but Jones gets free and slips his arm under Danko 's chin. This could be big trouble! Yes, Danko is tapping furiously and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Jones!
Jack Jones retains his bantamweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Jack Jones thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
