The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rurkowiec clinches up against the cage.
Rurkowiec tries to throw a body punch but Heeta avoids it by throwing Rurkowiec back against the cage.

Heeta is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rurkowiec can't fight it off and eventually Heeta manages to take the fight to the floor. Rurkowiec looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rurkowiec is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Rurkowiec tries to strike from the bottom.

Heeta wants to control from the top but Rurkowiec keeps moving.
Heeta postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rurkowiec is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Heeta wants to get up but he can't break Rurkowiec's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Heeta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rurkowiec's waist but Rurkowiec gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Heeta off to one side.
No luck for Heeta with that takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rurkowiec gets a clinch.

Heeta jumps into guard, dragging Rurkowiec to the mat.

Rurkowiec stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Heeta swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rurkowiec has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Heeta is proving hard to escape from.

Rurkowiec looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Heeta has picked Rurkowiec up and slammed him! Rurkowiec can't keep hold of the triangle and Heeta manages to pass to side control!

Rurkowiec wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Heeta has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Rurkowiec's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Rurkowiec is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Heeta!
