The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora tries to clinch there but Jenkins circles away.
Jenkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zamora pinned against the cage. Zamora gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Zamora tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jenkins manages to circle out of the way.
Jenkins scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Zamora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jenkins manages to avoid it.
Zamora doesn't manage to clinch there - Jenkins circles away.
Jenkins shapes to counter with a head kick.

Jenkins takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jenkins clinches.
Zamora is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jenkins to keep the fight standing.

Zamora is looking to break free of the clinch but Jenkins has double underhooks.

Jenkins jumps guard.
Jenkins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Zamora is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jenkins stands and steps away. Zamora gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jenkins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zamora napping and manages to drive through into side control!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jenkins pulls Zamora in close to his closed guard and prevents Zamora from doing any damage or advancing position.

Zamora throws a strike but Jenkins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jenkins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zamora haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zamora wants to control but Jenkins passes easily into half guard.

Jenkins seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zamora is trying to maintain the position but Jenkins is very close to passing his half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A head kick from Zamora lands but Jenkins takes it in his stride.
Zamora tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.

Oooooh!!! Jenkins has knocked Zamora down with a huge combo! Jenkins steps away and waves a wobbly Zamora back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Zamora is rocked!

It looks like Hiram Zamora has been cut.
Jenkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
