Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between charlie bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Simeone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simeone has chosen Brucia Ancora as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Diego Simeone was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bishop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
bishop misses with the combination.
Simeone shoots in looking for a takedown. bishop tries to sprawl out of it but Simeone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. bishop manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Simeone shoots in for a takedown but bishop shows good takedown defense.
Simeone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
charlie bishop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Simeone.
bishop throws a right hand that Simeone ducks under and follows up with a left that Simeone also avoids with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simeone takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
bishop fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
bishop is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Simeone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has bishop pinned against the cage. bishop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Simeone looks gassed!

bishop tries to clinch but Simeone is having none of it.

Simeone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Simeone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with bishop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
bishop is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

bishop is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

bishop is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Simeone is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
